Bosnia Task Force USA
Many of you are familiar with the Bosnia Task Force, USA, a national
coalition that was supported by over 10 national organizations unifying
Muslims from across America in solidarity with their brothers and
sisters in Bosnia.
Kosova Task Force is a continuation of the Bosnia Task Force,
USA. Bosnia Task Force has been speaking out against oppression
of Albanian Muslims in Kosova since its establishment.
A summary of the efforts of Bosnia Task Force, USA:
- In Congress: Regular contact, lobbying key members, supporting
many bills, including several by the Womenıs Caucus.
- Increasing awareness of the genocide of Bosnian Muslims to
all.
- Rallies by sisters in solidarity with Bosnian rape victims
in 100 cities in cooperation with the National Organization of
Women (NOW).
- Monthly -bimonthly updates to all Islamic centers and organizations
regarding the situation in Bosnia from 1993 - 1996.
- God blessed Bosnia Task Force, USA to initiate the formation
of the Islamic Shura Council of North America to foster ongoing
cooperation between national organizations in North America.
- Organized the largest demonstration of Muslims for Bosnia in
front of the White House and Congress in Washington D.C.
- Organized a national rally in front of the United Nations.
- Organized a delegation of Muslims who, along with Muhammad
Ali, met with Muslim Ambassadors to support Bosnia.
