JUSTICE FOR ALL CONDEMNS ILLEGAL ISRAELI RAID ON HUMANITARIAN FLOTILLA

Justice For All strongly condemns Israel’s illegal interception of activists in international waters and calls for international action to ensure accountability and prevention. This raid on a humanitarian flotilla is another episode in a pattern of flagrant Israeli disregard for international law as it prosecutes a genocidal campaign against Palestinians in Gaza.

On 30 April, 2026, an Israeli naval raid stormed the Global Sumud Flotilla aimed at bringing direct humanitarian aid to the Palestinians of Gaza in international waters near Crete. Many captives have reported torture and brutal treatment by Israel. While other countries have condemned the raid, we are dismayed that the United States has threatened to “impose consequences” on its victims and inaccurately described the flotilla as supporting Hamas.

Justice For All urges the United States to end its unconscionable support to Israel in the military, political and diplomatic spheres to avoid any potential complicity in crimes against humanity, and to protect rather than threaten aid workers in line with both international law and its own values. We also call the international community to submit attacks on humanitarian aid as evidence of Israeli crimes against humanity in the international courts, and immediately impose an arms embargo and comprehensive sanctions on Israel for repeated, ongoing and systemic violations.

The situation in Gaza is dire and continues to harm millions of Palestinians. Justice cannot wait.
