Action Alert: Congress Must Denounce Organized Calls of Genocide Against Muslims in India

A three-day hate speech conclave was organized by Hindutva extremist Yati Narsinghanand from December 17th to 19th in the Indian city of Haridwar, where multiple calls to genocide against Muslims were made.

Dejected by the failure of both state and police in taking action against the perpetrators, 76 advocates of the Supreme Court have written to Chief Justice of India to take Suo Motu cognisance of the calls for “ethnic cleansing” that pose a “grave threat not just to the unity and integrity of our country but also endanger the lives of millions of Muslim citizens”.

The international community must denounce these brazen calls to genocide and pressure the Indian government to take action against Hindutva forces that are preparing a full-scale genocide of Muslims in India.
